Email just now (10:00 tonight): "Your application has been assigned to an investigator..." (with that person's name and email address)

Note says to contact that person if she hasn't been contacted within 30 days. Investigator will be contacting you "to schedule the required in-person interview" ... basically the exact same language I recall from my original application years ago. We'll see what happens!

Update:

Finally received a reply to my 7/25 application date...
No NICS Date.
There's a note I have to "Request Informal Review"

WTF is that?
But I did look at Page 7 and I have a Permit number so I guess that means I'm approved.
I just haven't seen anyone else post that Informal Review thing.
Page 7 - Approved..

"Permit Restrictions
NONE (MD ONLY) (NOT VALID WHERE FIREARMS ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW"

The review wording is on everyone's approval. It's a throw back to when they were putting restrictions on permits.

I am well below the average of Submitted to Accepted. Same day.

Same with Accepted to Nics. Well below average at one day

However all above average for NICS to approved at 27 days so far.

however still below average for Submitted or Accepted to approved. Sitting currently at 28-27 days. If I go on averages… I have between 10-20 days before I am approved. Based on averages.

Sadly the statistical trend for bot Submitted or accepted to approval is on an upward trend of adding a 1/2 to a full day to the average, every day. Not a good trend.
