A tracking number increases postal costs significantly

They don’t, but if the state offered the service you would pay for shipping (priority mail) & a special handling fee.

Looks like they are running at a good cruising speed now. Again, not sure if that is system streamlining or leveling-off/reduction of applicants. Either way, turnaround is pretty swift, now.

Do you guys still get an email with the name of the investigator your application has been assigned to? I got mine when I got my NICS number/date. I wonder if some investigators are just notoriously slower than others.

Mine was submitted 12/16,
accepted 12/20
NICS 1/15
still waiting for approval now.
