Do you have something in your back ground that would warrant calling your refs? Most people's refs are NOT contacted.
couple of really old things , we will see how it goes , they called me first then my wife , and then the first 2 of the refs , of witch one is a maryland state trooper , didn't call the last one today so we will just have to wait and see.

Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

That means over 5% of the over 21 population of Maryland has been approved for CCW. Awesome progress and good to see so many exercising their right.
Would love to see it get to 10% which would be around 370k. Doubt it will get that high though.
Don’t think tracking it works like that. On renewal your permit number changes.

Yea, it just means that 150K permits were issued since Bruen. I think LT Pickle said there were 25K (?) active permits in the system pre Bruen. The 150K would include renewals from that group. But who knows.

    More or Less .
Just keep in mind two different numbers are being discussed . * Permits Issued cumulatively * , and * number of Active Permits on any given day *

The built in disparity is not as large as Pre Bruen , but it's still there

It will be different ratios now obviously , but 1.5 yrs ago my somewhat informed guesstimate was aprox 10k issued per year , for a mean daily average of +/- 25k. Active Permits .

But in any case a 500% plus increase post Bruen , despite Maryland's odious process , hoops , and restrictions .

Good that the processing was quicker than average .

Frustrating that the improper Undue Burden for Fundimental Right delayed it this long .

How did things go for you
Unless your application is from the same time period, knowing how it went for them won’t make any difference… assuming you’re trying to figure out something other than how long it takes. And if that’s true, unless you know their specific situation, it won’t make any difference.

What are you trying to figure out by quoting and asking about these older posts? If it just for time to get approved, stop. It’s currently between 30-40 days.

Side note buddy of mine submitted at the same timeframe as I did, his application got sent back for re-work due to on his MSP Shooting score sheet was labeled as 200/200pts = 100%. Apparently the Investigator was a stickler and wanted 250/250 to be displayed.

Oddly enough i had the same score, yet my application was never sent back for re-work.

I think my buddy applied on 9-18 too, but I’m not 100% sure.

    His app number was: 23HGP0799xx
    Accepted on 9-25-23
    Approved on 10-27-23

No idea what his license number is, when NICS might have been pulled or if he was assigned to an investigator.

This info I posted is a screen grab he texted me.
