Hand stop, Magpul handstop, AFG, mini or full vertical.....

I'm feeling like I want a change in my AR setup as my shooting style is developing.

I currently shoot something like this:

I use the front stop as a thumbhook.

My left hand pushes out and my right pulls back.

I shoot long offhand shots with a highpower like position (forward hand is a rest only), left elbow rests on chest.

I have very definite and positive muzzle control with this and the rifle naturally points.

I've been looking at other options and wanted to get some feedback.

I see a lot of different styles out there that are popular on the board.

    Thanks

    Dave

I ended up going with the magpul xtm set up as it fit me very well and it was very light and cost effective compared to some of the alternatives out there. It also matched my REV perfectly. You can mount it forwards or backwards, or just use the pieces individually if you don't want to click all sections together.

Keep us posted on how it goes and NICE set up by the way :party29:

That's a pretty crazy thumb hook.

RussD turned me on to it. He used it in some of his earlier builds. I don't know if he still uses them....I get them from Brownells.

With the stop in the web of my thumb my index finger naturally follows the barrel and I find the "pointing" makes for easy target acquisition and transition.

I use this mainly for three gun.

It doesn't feel as "nice" on my SBR hence why I am interested in experimenting.
