Question. I have a valid Maryland handgun permit. Usually when driving I have a handgun on my person, but sometimes for comfort I will place it in the center console. I believe this is legal. If so, my question is can I legally have a loaded AR15 pistol in my vehicle?

Yes, just toss it under a sweatshirt. Open carry isn't legal anymore, AR pistols are treated the same as a glock, and concealed just means covered by an article of clothing. (I'm not a lawyer)

There are several cases that look like computer carriers that you can use. I carry my CMMG Banshee folded up with a round up the pipe and 17 rd mag in one when I go to sketchy areas.

You have a permit to CARRY a loaded handgun. That includes what you describe.

Personally, I don't know where you found a holster for an AR Pistol.

Actually it is a permit to carry a weapon including knives and nunchaku, etc.

    Sort of , it's a semantics rabbit hole .

The Permit itself, and 5-306 ( I think that's the right number ) only mention Handguns .

4-101 ( which covers all Non Handgun Wrapons ) lists holding a W&C Permit, as an exemption to its provisions prohibiting concealment of Non Handgun Weapons .

    No, actually Biggfoot is correct.

It’s an important distinction. Without modifying anything about the permit scheme, 4-101 could be modified to eliminate the exemption language and you’d be left with exactly what you have now - a handgun permit.
