About 3 weeks ago my adult daughter managed to put the magazine in backwards in my newer Ruger Mark III and get it stuck. Long story longer, it was returned to Ruger for repair.

I got it back today repaired at no charge. Intertestingly the magazines that were tough to release previously now drop freely when the magazine release is pushed.

Thanks it is a Special Edition 5 1/2" barrel. It caught my eye at the last Frederick Show and I liked the feel versus the 6 1/2" barrel.

    That's a sexy gun!

I should have spent the extra money over the 22/45 and got one of them instead but I still love my 22/45 as well.

    I love that pic :D

    Thanks

If she is going to be the guard dog she should be armed. Actually, the dogs are the intruder alarm and a distraction until I grab the gun.

Here is the youngster in training.

Good on Ruger for making it right.:)

Its a common problem with Ruger MK III's. The reason they get stuck when inserted backwards is because of the Magazine Disconnect.

It will happen again if you inadvertently insert it backwards. To correct this, you remove the Mag Disconnect, and install a Ruger MKII hammer and bushing.
