Still not sure why he was unable to sell these to another SOT.
The story seems to be: his SOT expired june 30th during his cancer battle. These were actually seized August 25, 2021 and are post sample machine guns. They are non transferable, but he could have sold them to another SOT.
There are a lot here labeled "unknown" but I see a HK g3 and FAL. Seems like a few here would be worth more than the $1000 the ATF valued them at.
These are all going into the shredder. RIP.
He will get a tax writeoff tho, lol. $1000 x however many are here.

It's not an estate sale.
I'm thinking $1,000 is just a basic value assigned to certain types of firearms. They have no time when doing these things to search out gun values for the paperwork.
