From VCDL
The idea is simple: it’s bad enough that we have to get a permit to exercise our right to self defense with a concealed handgun, but we should not have to pay for that permit.
Corey Stewart, Prince William Board of Supervisors member, is putting forth a measure to provide FREE CHPs to residents of Prince William County. In tandem with that effort, Senator Amanda Chase has a bill that would make the $10 fee that a Circuit Court Clerk can charge for processing a CHP optional and not mandatory.
BIG TURNOUT NEEDED - EVEN NON-PRINCE WILLIAM GUN OWNERS
It’s important that we have a BIG turnout at the Board of Supervisors meeting in support of this effort. We expect the idea to spread to other localities if this is successful! Look for someone handing out GSL stickers.
