Saw this on Instagram. The caption reads “CARJACKING BACKFIRES ON SUSPECTS AFTER THEY GET SHOT AT BY THE VICTIM: Sunoco, 6300 block of New Hampshire Ave in Takoma Park- 2 men tried to take the victim's car with handguns with extended clips, however the victim (with a handgun permit) fired back, leaving bullet holes & blood at the suspect's stolen car. (which was ditched after they fled on foot) A gun was located inside of a Popeyes bag on scene.”

This may be the first Maryland CCW permit holder in Montgomery County defending themselves from criminals?. I wonder if the victim will be charged under MoCo’s defiance of the Bruen decision?

Anywhere else I'd think you were joking. Here in MoCo I agree with your thinking.

Here is a story that needs to be followed closely. I am curious how MoCo is going to try to spin this.
My guess would be any spin would revolve around a narrative that the victim should not have tried to defend property. Then conveniently leave out the little detail of firearms used by the perps. Just my opinion.

That’s because the number of carjackings in Montgomery County is on track to reach another record year. According to recent data from the county, 74 carjackings have been reported so far this year. That’s compared to 80 for all of 2022.

Everything's fine. Stop worrying about it.

So wait... He shot at them through the car as they were leaving?
    He's going to get smoked.

Unless that was meant to read that he shot through his door at them as they were outside trying to get it?
But they said "stolen" so to me that is they got the car.

Says he "fired back". Was he fired upon? It sure implies such but perhaps the writer took some liberties.
