Just found out that my cousin-in-law was laid off last week. He has two pre-K aged daughters and this, coming right before Christmas, really sucks.

He's an auto damage adjuster by trade and training, but I'm sure he'd be willing to branch out if there was a good opportunity.

I'm not sure of his specific credentials or certifications, but if anyone knows of any relevant vacancies, a PM would be most appreciated!

(He lives in Annapolis, but I'm sure he'd be willing to travel a reasonable distance for a good job.)

    Thanks in advance.

Does he have body shop experience, or is his experience on the insurance company side?

I know he worked for GEICO for a while. Not sure where he was that just let him go. Probably more insurance experience.

ETA: Just got a hold of his resume. Looks like he did about 7 years as a field adjuster with GEICO and then 4 more in body shops.

Nationwide in Columbia, MD has postings for claims reps. Some are probably field reps (work from home.

Not sure if it's auto, liability or property.

Columbia number is (410) 423-6800. May want to look online to see if there are better descriptions of positions.

    Tell him good luck.

Looks like it would be pretty easy to make work in that field.

Sure hope he finds work fast, that really sucks letting someone go before the holidays. Please let us know if he finds work!
