    Most of the BS is federal, not state when it comes to automatic knives. The rules prohibiting interstate shipping, Federal.

    According to this website, you CAN buy a switchblade online, you just can't carry it. I tend to agree with this as I think the 'barter' part of the law is more about selling, not buying, though IANAL.

    It would seem the onus is on the retailer to follow all Federal and local laws.

    Actually, the law on carry is a little less clear than that page suggests. You can carry a switchblade in Maryland "as a reasonable precaution against apprehended danger, subject to the right of the court in an action arising under this section to judge the reasonableness of the carrying of the weapon, and the proper occasion for carrying it, under the evidence in the case."

    What's a good site to buy an automatic? I had one all picked out a couple of years ago and lost the site when my computer crashed. What is the disabled criteria for being able to carry one in MD?
