In a jail system where an inmate can knock up 4 of the guards, some more than once, finding a stray gun just isn't that surprising.

It is from the "Model of 1905 - 4th Change" series. Judging by available information, it appears to have been manufactured between 1923 and 1927 ..... These model 10 trade ins are a blast, and really accurate too. I got one from code4lesales 5" barrel (1968), and love it. Had it checked out by my gunsmith and he was drooling over it. You can't go wrong if the gun is checked out ok. He also worked the forcing cone out to 18deg for me, love that option!!
