    Withstood the wind, and was rewarded with a 8 point buck this evening! Got him at 25 yards, using a 250 grain bullet I casted, being pushed by 90 grains of 3f.
    he was at an odd angle and my bullet went in the shoulder and came out farther behind on the opposite side. I was a little worried it was going to be “messy”, but luckily nothing hit gut!

    Congrats, looks like he died close to the road, hopefully an easy drag.

    Had two fat fawns come in. Was tempted to smoke the larger one which Im sure was a button. The combo bumper crop acorn crop and beans really puts the pounds on them. They were the fawns of the doe I killed a few weeks back.
