If you aren't in a hurry, just put the SKS up in your attic on an absorbent mat. It may melt off if your attic can get as hot as mine.

I have 6' of 10" stove pipe, caps for ends, metal light fixture that holds two 150W lights, attached to one side of cap and a cheap grill thermometer. Gets over 150 degrees in winter. Add a blanket and it will cook the cosmo. Oh, made sled out of metal gutter guard to pull in and out.

Found something similar years ago on net. Can't remember where to give props. Works well. Cosmo drips through sled into bottom.

My SKS was soaked in the stuff. I took it all the way down and used hot water and a rag. All the stand alone metal parts and the reciever/trigger group I just boiled. Worked like a charm took about half an hour.
