I haven't received my politely worded "Get Bent" email yet. Prolly in a few months, if the past is any indication. I just can't wait. :indiffere

And to think that with the growing use of A.I. and sweeping data collection, his computer will be able to generate ever-more politely worded and personal "Get Bent" emails. Almost as if he and the rest of them were delivering them themselves. Maybe they'll even ask how the dog, cat, and goldfish are doing, by name.

The ar-15 is the national service rifle. All able bodies citizens should own one ,know its operation, maintenance and become marksmen.

That is the obligation of being a citizen in a free country!

Did David Chipman Lose His Duty Gun When He Worked At The ATF?

Judiciary ranking member Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, and Sen. Mike Lee of Utah pushed Chipman on whether he had ever lost possession of his assigned gun while employed at the ATF for more than two decades. Chipman wrote in his testimony a negative to the question, but leadership at the American Accountability Foundation told The Federalist the nominee’s former supervisors and peers at ATF remember Chipman getting his gun stolen.

“We were told multiple times by his former colleagues that he had lost his service weapon,” Tom Jones, co-founder of the group, said in an interview. “We shared this information with the Senate, who has taken up the matter. Often a federal employee’s personnel file is made available to the Senate and would clear this and other disciplinary matters up. This week, Chipman refused the Senate’s request to provide his personnel file, which raises questions on this matter and what else he is hiding.”

Sen Susan Collins said this morning she will oppose his nomination.

So if Manchin says "No" or Kelly recuses himself, Chipman is done. Maybe we'll see the nomination get withdrawn in the next week.

The Dem Party and the WH will get to tell Everytown "Well, we tried", but ultimately the WH will probably propose a replacement nominee who won't require expenditure of much political capital to confirm. And that likely means someone noncontroversial who will maintain status quo, which is about as good as we can hope for right now. The Dems have much higher priority bills to expend effort on to waste much more time on the ATF Director slot, which few people outside our community and the hard-core Antis care about.

If true it won't matter...he tows the line on guns so that provides cover for any other transgressions.

Don’t bet on it. Progressives are quick to jump on that other stuff too. If more than unresolved complaints, it’s likely to turn some senators against him that he needs for confirmation.

Apparently, Chipman had several internal disciplinary actions against him for sexual harassment and for racism during his time in the ATF: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.232600/gov.uscourts.dcd.232600.1.0.pdf

Report: David Chipman’s Alleged Racist Remarks About Black ATF Agents
The Daily Caller reports Joe Biden ATF nominee David Chipman allegedly made a racist comment in 2007 about black applicants who passed a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) exam.

The Daily Caller notes a former ATF agent claimed Chipman was reviewing exam results from individuals wishing to be a Special Agent in Charge when he allegedly said: “Wow, there were an unusually large number of African American agents that passed the exam this time. They must have been cheating.”

Another ATF agent told the Daily Caller News Foundation, “[Chipman] made this remark in front of a bunch of witnesses. It spread like wildfire at the agency. It got tremendous blowback, as it should. Here you have a middle manager saying something like that with absolutely no proof.”

And with Bidet announcing his new Gun Control EOs, that may not be the hill that the Gun Grabber Industry chooses to die on. Remember that Chipmonk remains a paid Industry asset until he resigns from the Foundation. And they still have the Space Cadet as a mole in the Senate.
