    Its comin right for me!

Ive been searching for binoculars and I have been toying over buying a set of Nikon Monarchs for a few days now and Ive been really close to ordering them but I cant get over the price... So after some googling I find another set that I might be interested in, the Leupold Wind River Pinnacle 10x42. I dont know anything about these binoculars but I think I found a pair very underpriced on Amazon, but they are from a vendor in Singapore and I am kind of nervous that they might be fake or something fishy is going on with this item.

Here's the link to the ones I ordered.

    http://www.amazon.com/Leupold-10x42-Pinnacle-Series-Binoculars/dp/B00E97F1MC/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_tnr_1

I also notice there is one pair available and everything else from this vendor is beauty supplies and other random ass shit. This also makes me a little bit nervous.

Is 70$ for these a good find? Or did I just set myself up to get ripped off/tricked somehow? I paid less than 5$ for shipping too.

Also I am in Afghanistan and I was concerned about the really long wait for shipping and if im going to be in the same location and whatnot and figured it was almost a guarantee they would get lost if shipped directly to me so I just ordered them to my girlfriends house and Ill have her ship them to me in my next care package when she gets them.

I have looked pretty hard for a nice set and I hope these are the ones. I just have this itching feeling that this was a mistake somehow, like its too good to be true to find such a nice set for so cheap. If I hadnt found these I would still be stewing over buying the Monarchs. 300$ is just really hard to stomach for something I dont get to pick up and look at before I buy.

Does anybody have any experience with these binoculars or ordering items from amazon from another country for way under price? Comments?

Also, if anybody has a set of these can you please post a picture of them next to something so I can see the relative size? I cant find any pictures on the web that arent like a retailer picture or advertisement.

Ordering from out-of-country automatically voids the warranty. If the binoculars have a problem, you're hosed. Would you seriously order from a foreign seller with "porn" in the store name with zero feedback?

If you want a quality set for not much money, check out these:

I know the name seems weird, but like you said its a foreign seller and I have seen funnier names... I took the gamble, I just mainly want to know if anyone thinks they are likely to be fake or if there is some catch. I figure for 70$ if they turn out to really be a set of bino's that cost like 300+ I made out like a bandit. That being said, I know alot of fake stuff comes from other countries. Is there something I can tell my girlfriend to look for to tell if they are fake when they arrive at her house? If I ask her how nice they are I know she will basically tell me they are great as long as she can see through them....:lol2:

Those are pretty badass and I would love a pair but I want to buy my own so I can keep them.

You know they are too cheap for that anyways! lol We actually have some but they are like insanely expensive and have to be signed for and I want nothing to do with them.

Wow those are pretty nice. That is exactly the one I need for this application. If these turn out to be fake or something I may consider buying those. A little expensive, but considering what they are its really not a bad price.

My wife bought me the Monarch V 10x42, for Christmas last year and I love them. this is the 3rd pair of Nikon's I've had.

That one was pretty high on my list. I wanted the 7's but I was going to settle for the 5's or 3's because they were much more affordable. Honestly if I could pick up a set and hold them and look through them I would be much quicker to spend on a nicer set like that.

Well I guess that deal was too good to be true!

I wonder if he realised the value and took them down?

I guess the tactical binoculars are back on the table. If anyone has any more recommendations throw them out there. Im looking for portable, durable, reasonable price (like 250-350 price range) and will ship to APO.

If I dont find a set I like I will probably go with the ones Boom Boom recommended. I must admit I thought about blowing my budget out of the water for those BX-2's you recommended 303.

Vortex Optics I can't say enough about them. I bought their base model binos their first year in business, and I would put them up against any of the high dollar european outfits. No questions asked Lifetime warranty. They have gotten more pricier than they were when they first started out, but thats to be expected. Think I paid $85 for them in 04.

After the loooooooooong wait, my Leupold BX-T's finally arrived!! I had to send them to my GF and have her forward them to me. I love them! They are so much smaller than they appeared in the picture and they are so light. These will be a breeze to lug around (biggest thing I was worried about) and they also come with a really nice soft case.

I had a hard time with other binoculars actually looking through both eyes to get the binocular vision that you want but with these its pretty much no effort. I cant wait to get out and play with them more. Unfortanutely I dont have the ability to post pictures, but heres what they look like. I will post more about how they work when I get a chance to take them out and look around more with them.
