I recently bought a Colt 1917 revolver. It is in excellent condition, except for a little surface rust. I've used different methods for rust removal, with varying degrees of success, and found out about Blue Wonder gun cleaner on a Smith and Wesson forum. It worked great with 4/0 superfine steel wool, and there is no harm to the blue finish. I usually use bronze wool, but didn't have any around. It can be bought directly off of the company website, but I found it on Ebay, and the shipping was a lot less. Just thought I'd share. Good luck and happy holidays to all. Thank you to our troops and first responders.
