Finally realized the dream of owning what is arguably the finest bolt action .22 rifle ever conceived by mortal man. This is my Anschutz 1710 HB (two stage trigger). I chose a Leica ER 6.5-26x56 LRS for my optic. German gun gotta have German glass, right?

It wasn't a difficult decision. During the last two years of ammo shortages and pandemic price-gouging my shooting preferences have taken a hard turn towards .22 LR and the simple pleasures that only a quality bolt action rifle can provide. I've always wanted an Anschutz.

Apologies for the less-than-great pics. The lighting in the shop isn't the best for photography.

Very nice. Which shop did you find that at? I'm not in the market for another but I love drooling over them.

Thanks! Euro Optic in Williamsport, PA. Most of the time I just order, and they ship it to my FFL but I wanted to see it first.

If you go, be sure to bring a towel to wipe-up after yourself. I can't walk past the wall o' Sako rifles without getting a little light-headed.

I thought you bought a red headed orphan.

    I like this buy better.

Went with this scope from Leica. It's an ER 6.5-26x56 LRS with some of the most beautiful glass I have ever peered thru.
