    Hey guys,

My three year old is going crazy after being mostly locked in the house for the last 5 days. Do you guys know of any good places to go sledding in or around Bowie? Nothing outrageous, just accessible from a 4x4 truck without too much trekking through more than a few hundred yards of snow.

I know Major Landsdale's hill is way popular for sledding. It is directly accross route 197 from the Bowie Town Center entrance with the fake water tower.
There is a parking lot next to it so you can probably park there.

Your best bet is to PM Garand1957.

Not a lot of great hills come to mind.
The one novus mentioned is good (but beware of trees)
Whitemarsh Park (Sport Fit) at the football fields has a nice drop from the upper to lower fields and no obstructions.
    Also plenty of parking.

Thanks, we had a blast yesterday! I'll have to try out Whitemarsh Park too.

One side is completely devoid of trees now and perfect for sledding. They did that when they put the bike path all the way up to Lansdale's grave.

By the way Micktaco, when there is less snow up there you should give the major a visit. He served with George Washington.
