Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Stemmer's Run will be holding their first Bowling Pin shoot of 2010 on Sunday, 3/7, from noon til 3pm. This is open to the public, so feel free to come by.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Here's link from to an old post about one of the shoots - http://www.mdshooters.com/showthread.php?t=20609

Here are some of the rules:

Pistols only - semi or wheel gun does not matter. No caliber restrictions (although slower moving rounds tend to do better). There are different classes, .22, stock, modified, optical sights, wheel guns, etc.
No wadcutters or hollow points - round nose bullets only. We shoot at bowling pin silhouettes, basically a flat piece of rubber/plastic in shape of a bowling pin. Wadcutters just cut pieces out of the pins.

The cost is $5 per round. Each round includes 4 or 5 relays where you try to knock down your 6 bowling pins. Each relay is timed, and averaged to get your score for the round. You can sign up for as many rounds as you like. If you win your class, you get a share of the pot.

yeah my shooting was terrible yesterday grr oh well

I'd attribute that more to swapping back and forth between guns: 45 for one round, 9mm unsuppressed, then going to suppressed. Next time we'll make sure we get in line sooner and shoot more rounds with each gun.

It was a good time. My 22 knocked em down easier last time than my 40 did this time, but I think that may be more to do with the condition of the pins than anything else. All things considered though it was great to get some practice reloading on the clock and my times got better the more I shot, so it was a good day.

Any idea as to when the scores will be posted? I'm sure I probably didn't win, but I would like to see if I did better or worse than last time.

EDIT: Nevermind, got the newsletter, thanks!
