They look similar to the colt sight.

They are very similar. I believe they are made by Hakko too. Only very early Colt scopes were made by Realistic with the vast majority coming from the Japanese company.

Hi all. I'm looking at a Howa ar180 made before 1974. I think it's eligible as a C&R. Considering that, would it be possible to transfer it to Maryland?

DID you own it prior to 1 October 2013? If you don't have proof - NO.
