OK, we have our Christmas hauls.

What are your plans for 2015?

What's that hole in the collection you are dying to fill? What do you have enough of?

For me, step 1 is no more mail order garands. While they have all been super sweet this year, I have enough. If CMP does bolt actions or carbines again maybe. I might buy one at the Eastern games if the right rifle jumps out at me. (Gee that sounds wishy washy)

    I need a Winchester and Rock-ola m1 carbine.

    I'd like a blued colt 1911.

maybe a k98 sniper forgery, and I'll keep my eyes on 1903a3 sporters. I have an awesome maple burl stock looking for a nice action in a beat stock.

I still want a pretty Persian or some maybe an odd enfield or Martini Henry .22

If I get this job I interviewed for, I'm going to max out my 12 CMP M1's for a year. I also need another C&R 1911, either a commercial Colt or a good USGI.

Pretty much to the end and in target of opportunity mode, but below is a good short list.

    Enfield Jungle Carbine
    Another decent Krag
    IBM M1 Carbine
    SVW P38
MAS 49 (prefer Syrian contract with the ultra cool bayo set-up), take a 49/56 on the cheap
    1903A3 SC
Anything Persian, but preferably a Model 30 saddle ring.
Any reasonably priced Luger for a shooter (probably be looking to snag a VOPO).

That sounds like my 2014 list. Hope you get job.

    For me, my 2015 goals are the following;

    1. Peruvian mauser,
    2. 2nd Luger,
    3. 12 M1 Garands including a sniper,
    4. Thompson, and
    5. PPK.

I want a revolver sometime in the next year. That is all. Oh, and an M1 Carbine. And a K31. And a Winchester model 94 30-30. And....Dang....I think I'm addicted.

Thanks, I should be finding out soon. The job will let me move to VA, so that will be nice.

BTW, sniper rifles do not count towards your 12 M1 limit, so you can buy as many as you want, haha.

Too many holes to count in my collection and very little disposable income, so I will once again only be snagging targets of opportunity in 2015. I sense another lean year.

Even though they are outside my collecting focus, I'd love another M1 Carbine as it's by far my favorite US service rifle.

1941 version of the 1903A1, can be "faux" as long as the scope is a Unertl
    Early P-38
    Red 9 C96
    All steel High Power
    Clean M96 Swede
    I wouldn't mind a C&R 1911
Whatever cool pistols tickle my fancy

All shooters, not necessarily collector pieces.

    Most assuredly yes.

Yup, unless you want an (new) auto ordinance Khar arms one, cant think of a reason why you would unless you were just trying to get a folding stock by buying one of their paratrooper clones.

Reading this thread has made me want a C&R M1 Carbine and 1911 now (where's a good place to find them?).

Just got a Star B in 9x19mm for Christmas. Can't wait for my next purchase!
