I wanted to thank everyone for the tips and suggestions. I managed to take advantage of the Cabela's sale to get 5 boxes of IMI m855 and 5 of PPU .223 55gr, a box of Winchester Power Point .223 64gr and a box of IMI .223 55gr to come in just over $100. $96 with the sale, no shipping. I got a $100 gift card for $92 that worked! (Sorry, I am always deeply skeptical)

Also used active junky for about $7 back.

So basically $78 in the end for all that! I am so excited!!!

I also put in my order for the last of my AR parts (gas system, ejection port and FA) at Brownells also through active junky for another $3 and change back.

Just need to get a handguard now and it is done!!!

I never can squeeze a dime till the eagle screams as I'd like. I used the free shipping and that they have velocitor 22 and PDX1 (at all) I went for it. That you kept kicking me in the teeth about the angles I can't seem to exploit without knowledge of forethought. I at least got my rewards started. Yes, I need people to tell me when I'm dumb without sarcasm.

My problem is after being told about and now exploiting things like the discounted gift cards and active junky plus these sales I keep having a hard time resisting. I am putting the finishing touches on my first AR-15 so I need .223/5.56 and I have a hard time not buying more and more. But I think this latest buy puts me up around 800rnds. I think I need to shoot some of it in part to see what works the best in it, before I buy anymore.

Well that and I am out of secured storage once it shows (I took advantage of the gander mountain sale to get about 200rnds too).

I feel like I have a pretty decent "stash" of all types of ammo. I need to focus on building up my stash of GOOD ammo. Not that most of what I have isn't decent stuff, but I've got something like 13 or 14 kinds of 22lr because the last year I've been buying up whatever I can when I can. I need to shoot the crappier stuff and build my stocks of the good stuff.

But I've don't the occasional buy of a few boxes of Velocitor, even paying shipping on top of it, just that I have a few boxes.

I need to keep my eyes out when I can do something like buy a few boxes when on sale or free shipping and stuff.

Off topic but I bought some oil from auto zone with discounted gift cards and the manager told me he could not take it because I bought it and they cannot be transferred, I said BS. He said drug addicts are stealing merchandise and returning it for the cards and I could go to jail for buying them. I said so "Auto Zone" is buying stolen merchandise?? he grumbled and took my card! I kicked over a couple displays and am not allowed in that location any more. It was worth it though.
