I tried, I really did. I researched alternatives, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a cheap piece of glass. It just didn't make sence. I almost cheaped out and bought an EoTech, then I sobered up.

So the ACOG TA33G-H was ordered & installed. The green horse shoe is the shit !

Some may think I am crazy, but why does a cheap gun not deserve quality optics?

I want years of fun from the set up and it will be a teaching gun as well. Cheap optics would just detract from both of the guns purposes.

looks great.. I agree that optics are very important even for a .22 'training' fun gun.. I have a comp m4 on my sig 522 - debating leaving it there.

Barrel is about 4" too long for you, other than that it's sweet!

If you see that the optic doesn't go well with the rifle then I'll trade you for something cheaper!!! :D. You can use that optic on other weapons too you know..

I started this project because I have a place close by that I can shoot it all I want. It stared out as a plinker. Then I thought if I set it up just like my 14.5" gun it would be good for as a training aid.

So the ACOG wasn't a frivolous expense, it was a though out purchase. While expensive, it is money well spent.
