I will be swapping out my upper receiver in my ar (556), same bolt, same barrel. Is headspace needed to be checked? I seem to recall someone telling me I only needed to check if the barrel or bcg was changes out. Google turns up everything in between.
And if so, I can assume both go/no go will be needed?
Not sure that it makes a difference, this will be my first time changing the upper myself, usually have a gs do it.
