Civivi Praxis

Just picked up this pocket folder knife a couple days ago. This thing is a hoss. The handle grip is fantastic. I used to carry a Kershaw Blur Black Serrated knife for many years but stupidly broke the tip and didn’t want to buy another $100+ knife. Since then I’ve been carrying cheap $10 folders for work.

This was about $50. It’s BIG. A little bigger than I was expecting. 1/2” thick and 8-1/2” when open. I wanted to buy an American made knife but between the Civivi Praxis and the Elementum, they are just beautiful looking knives and nothing compares to their looks. I’ll probably buy the Elementum as an EDC and use the Praxis for work.

I'm eyeballing that mini Praxis. Something maybe to take the place of my Kershaw 'Hinderer' when it finally bites the dust.

I got the Lumi about a year ago. I like the small size, how deep in the pocket it rides and the somewhat hidden flip opener.

I hate that Civivi are made in China, but they really are a well made knife. I’ve got a few and given a bunch as gifts.

I have a civivi made with D2 steel that must have been a bad batch. The blade chipped like crazy.

As an alternative, buy an American made Kershaw factory second

Yeah mini Praxis is probably what I should have gotten. I’m about to baton some wood with this bad boy.
