    I might be the only one, but I have found toothpicks to be very helpful for cleaning stainless guns because the wood doesn't seem to scratch the finish yet it removes the stubborn build up pretty well.

    joppaj, thanks for the link. I just ordered one up. Most of my handguns are stainless and I have always struggled to get rid of the burn rings on the cylinder.

    Just cut off a small square and keep scrubbing. The cloth will be black when you're done but nothing else wil remove burn rings that well in my experience. Word to the wise is that if you clean inside the cylanders with it, make sure you scrub them out with something like Hoppes afterward. I didn't at first and it corroded the brass on the bullets I loaded up afterward.
