CMP , M7 Bayonet

Anyone know if this actually fits a M4 profile rifle since it was made for the AR15 & M16 rifle

It will not fit , the space between the lug and the muzzle brake is too long .

14.5" barrel & carbine gas
16" barrel & mid-length gas
20" and rifle gas


Here's an example of the midlength 16" combo with the okc3s that replaced the m7 for the marines I found in some halloween candy...

Mine is a Stag Model 1 16'' barrel. Not sure if it will fit

That is a mid length it is not the same . It will not fit on a carbine length .

Thanks RJ, I was placing a CMP order and was going to get one but since it won't fit I won't bother. I have been meaning for years to get a 20'' AR15, much like the M16A1 or A2 (can't remember) like I was issued in the Army in the mid 80s. Guess I'll have to wait till I leave this state now. Now if a HB that's legal to MD has the bayo lug and works then I'm gtg and I'll get one.
Or I guess I could get a repo for my M4 but I don't really want a repo.

It will fit on a 20" HBAR as long a the FSB has a lug on it .

That is a mid length it is not the same . It will not fit on a carbine length .

It will with a 14.5" barrel pinned/welded. All the combinations I listed would be fine. He just said "m4 profile", so I didn't know if he had a 14.5" & carbine or 16" and mid-length. I also explained that the picture was of my mid-length 16". He could also use one of these things....
