I think @teratos should buy it!

I think the air force called these a GAU (Ground assault unit) back in the early 70's?

I hate front sight posts, but I'll make an exception in this case.

How would one going about sharing this amongst 4 friends? Drool….

****A beautiful firearm. In terms of manufacturing complexity - that Colt Commando shouldn't cost much, if any more than it's sister non select fire firearm. Laws have made it so expensive, not true cost to manufacture.

There are guys in our area with the same model, but I have never seen one so pristine as in the example above. $60k split up amongst 33,241 members would be very affordable for most I would think!

Dunno if @weder571 below, our newest member, would be willing to put his $1.81 to help buy it. He might just be here for the Epic Funny Picture Thread like so many of us!

That would be the biggest problem. Other guys bitching about how much brass someone is emptying.
Was going to ask/say same/similar. How many rounds would the hardware be good for with full auto? Gotta imagine the heat buildup would degrade things a good bit faster then semi.

You’ll go through barrels, bolts, the usual wear and tear stuff. To my knowledge, the receivers really don’t wear out.

Ok - stupid question; is that an all-original commando or is that a full-auto lower that somebody built up into a commando looking rifle? I thought the original commandos has A1 uppers, that's an A2. Grip is also an A2. Stock is not shiny like the original aluminum. Lower is a full-fence. Maybe they did make these, IDK for sure. I would want to really research before I threw down $60K.
