100% certain the free DC online course works for a VA non resident permit. The old MD online gun safety course certificate will work as well. These are trainings sponsored by law enforcement agencies and meet the VA requirement.

Why pay when free options are available? The permit will cost you $100 as a non resident anyway. The least you could do is save some money on the course. Just my opinion.

You just go to a local LE agency and have them take rolled prints on the FD258. Must be signed by a LEO.
