I met a guy yesterday whose guiding for some local fox/coyote hunts.
They have a nice home farm over to Centennial, all kinds of access to others, big lights guns with paint on them and stuff.
Looks like some deer hunting and some SC opps too for hogs, deer and what not.
You can hunt fox dogs and what not year round here in the county.
Faulkner/Rugged Cross is what he calls it.

I used to belong to Crofton Country Club. The foxes would dig burows in the bunkers but I never saw any damage to the greens. The ones we have around here poop in very conspicuous spots including middle of front porch .

Takoma/Silver Spring is awash in rabbits.

I've only seen the (very) occasional fox in the area, until last night, when a pair of them raced across the street in front of us; dogs tried to dislocate my leash arm going after them.

We also have a fair number of rats locally, even excluding the Ratskin clan. They are also of extreme interest to our pitbulls. Not even gonna mention the local deer herds, though there's some cute little ones.

You got spare foxes, release them into Sligo Creek Park, please.

I have a mother fox that takes a crap right in middle of the driveway. I don't have any issue with her being around as I have moles and she is slowly destroying their population. I also have Opossums and one beautiful black feral cat.

They keep the rodent population down and don't bother any of the birds. However, the deer population is another story. Fvcke*s hit my front and side gardens a couple days ago and took out several Begonias and Hostas. I believe it or they are a couple of young that were born this year as a yearling would be too big to get through my tree limb fences.

The little hole, which I have just fixed, was only 2x2 so no adult deer would have gotten through. To bad I don't bow hunt. :innocent0

I rather have foxes than deer that are running wild in MD and DE. At least foxes aren't damaging cars. Deer population is out of control.
