Does anyone know anything about these Bullberry conversions for smokeless?
Ive got one here with a bunch of kit that came with it.
And a pound of 4198 to boot with some fancy projies.

Maybe Ill just wait to see if that removes the breech plug faster than i can unscrew it?
If any one has info they would like to share that would be great.
I dont know anything about them and not interested in learning the hard way.
    Thanks for any replies.

Interesting. Is it for a ProHunter or the older Encore?

Bullberry has a good web page and gives lots of info as to what will fit what and how to have custom conversion done. See if that answers your questions.

I couldn't find anything on smokeless conversions there.

If we are talking about TC frames, I thought BATF made them do some engineering change (maybe in the '70's) so that smokeless barrels wouldn't work.

My knowledge of Bullberry conversions is basically different cartridges and profiles. I never knew of them doing anything with black powder.

This one has a Muzzle loader barrel fitted to it.
According to the web page you have to speak with some directly.
I'm thinking its some sort of proprietary info for smokeless that makes me suspect of the validity of the application/product.

Muzzleloaders designed for ( specific) smokeless are a thing , the Savage 110ML was the first .

    Update

I popped the breech plug out of it for a look see.
It looks like a custom heavy stainless barrel minus the tungsten insert like my Savage with a 450 is bore diameter.
So, the barrel diameter without doing a sxs comparison appears to have a slightly smaller ID where the breech screws in. Im not seeing any barrel proofs just some laser engraved makers ID marks.

The lump fitted to the bottom of the barrel appears to be very finely micro welded.
The lands look to be about .006 tall or so and the bore/grooves are lapped mirror bright.
The plug itself, has a proprietary vent fitted similar to the Savage with the plug a relatively course thread.
    It is domed shaped.
It is also machined to a accept and insert similar to the knight system (red plastic) but these are stainless and equipped to use a LRP's.

Barrel OD seems to be around 1.00 +, slightly tapered and a target crown.
There are also loading tools designed to be used on a press that are degreed to swage the bullets.
And finally another device is there to seat the primers into the inserts for which there are many that accompany the rifle.
The owner indicated he's been shooting 4198 in it and using these 275 gr Parker bullets.
The rest of the rifle appears to be nothing out of the ordinary with mismatched factory encore plastic stocks and it weighs a ton. Trigger is ok, typical T/c

String and a stout tree to get behind... :innocent0

(I'm sure it will be fine)
    Lol,
You ought to see me when I test fire all these Martini's and what not.
I wear welders hot gloves and Bolle z71 safety glasses with my shed horn hunting fake beard I sourced from Spencer's for additional back up.
You'd be surprised how elastic that colored construction string is.
Chain saw pull cord is better I think when your in a hurry, but its harder to tell how good the trigger really is.

Bullberry originally was in Las Vegas but they moved. The original owner retired but is still involved. They have always made superior products I have a couple of barrels and a stock good work. They have several wildcat proprietary chambers available. They mention the muzzle loading smokeless barrels on the Black Powder barrels page. Give them a call I'm sure they will be helpful.

    Link to the company history:

Link to Encore Black Powder barrels available:

Link to Encore barrels available chambers, from .17 caliber to .50 caliber:
