Anyone ever adjusted sight on cz 82? At 7 yards, group is very tight, but is low and to right of point of aim. Not sure if I should try to drift the rear sight a little or just let it be? by the way, new to forum and I confess--i love guns. keith

Mine was also shooting to the left at 25 yards with Winchester white box ammo. I drifted the rear sight to correct - it moved easily enough. I just took it out again to the range, this time with my handloads and found that it is now shooting to the right, so it looks like I need to drift it back. My rear sight looked like it was staked in place, but it moved easily enough.

Try shooting one handed. I was able to shoot equally well with my left or right hand alone, standing 90 degrees to the target, and both much better than using isosceles or weaver...

as to the original question, i dont own an 82, but having played with one or two at a friend's shop (and his shoots) i can say that a sight press is the best way, but if that is not available, mark the slide and sight with a scratch awl in an inconspicuous place and then drift gently. the mark will give you your frame of reference. if you are anal and dont want to mar your finish then use a non-permanent marking method, i'm just not that particular about guns that old.....except the 1903 Colt i've spent hours cleaning up....

    WELCOME!

sorry coinboy, didn't mean to call ur guns old. most of the CZs i've played with are 40+ years, and the Makarovs are almost there.

besides, i'd never make anyone with a Mini14 that went rock and roll angry.......hahaha
