    Interesting.

But what are these mysterious "walk in services?" lol.

My experience the last few years was everything had to be appointment only and they were very strict about that.

"Walk in when we tell you you can, peasant. You will not be admitted without an invitation."

CCW appointments are automatically set for 3 months into the future -- then you can expect a 3 month wait for approval so 6 months for CCW after you spend hundreds of hours and 2 days.

Before MPD cracked down, you could schedule a "home protection" registration with only a few days wait and then bring your CCW application and do both at the same time.

No that's an absolute no no.

Just incredible they inverted intent of law that stated 90 days clearly as a maximum, to a minimum. It is a defacto min. waiting period of 90 days when DC code states 10 days

Let George Lyon know. Perhaps it's time for him to file another lawsuit against DC:

He's currently suing DC on its Public Transit Carry Ban and its 10 Round Magazine Capacity Limit.

MPD is now calendaring "Concealed Carry Weapon" appointments 4+ months in the future.

I checked today and the first available "Concealed Carry Weapon" appointment is July 31, 2024.

Must be "due to the move".

    Disgraceful.

If you really need it, they'd like it to be "to die for."

If you carry anyway, they'll jam you up they way you wish they'd treat their violent criminals.

Best to stay away. If you have the temerity to apply, they'll treat you like the human garbage you are.

    It's such malicious compliance.

They'll go for five months appointment queue next. They're just testing the waters at four now.
