Today (SunY went to the Giun Show at the VFX in Dale City . It was a interesting change , and only partly because of Va vs Md . It reminded me how much I liked the smaller shows in more intimate venues. While there I spoke with the Pres of the Va Gun Collectors Assn , and their upcoming show sounds like more gooderer of the same.

I got what I specifically came for. Got some of the things I always keep my eyes out for. And got a cpl thing I hadn't expected.

I was NOT looking to purchase any firearms on purpose , but had I been , there were plenty I'd have been looking at.

Different prefernces , so what I like may be yawn inspiring or you , and vise versa.

I'd probably really like the smaller venue. We use to have a small gun show / sale here in Charles County over in La Plata years ago at the Nat. Guard Armory, but, that's been a long time ago. I have been to the Fredericksburg show and the Show Place area shows. I was not over impressed with either. The prices were really high on guns and not much in the way of accessories. I went all the way to Fredericksburg and bought a 1000/box of Large pistol primers for $22.00 I could have just bought them from Waldorf for $23.00

The prices I saw at both shows I could have gone to Dick's or Fred's in Waldorf and bought them brand new for less than what they were offered used at the shows. Another thing I noticed was a lot of the vendors at these shows had not much "in stock" at the show, but, they damned sure didn't hesitate to "order it for you". These past two gun shows reminded me of a "pawn shop" The used prices were higher than buying it new prices. Sad.

The smaller shows always seem to have everything you need / want right there. Right then.

I just wish there were more advertisement on these smaller gun shows.
