I am looking to get my ccw in DC since I am now living there a good bit of my time. I have a MD permit and completed my last training on 5/8/2020. My instructor was not a DC authorized trainer. So a few questions..

#1 Am I able to use that training for my DC permit (if I can get the DC Law portion)?

#2 Any instructors that do just the DC Law portion without having to do the entire course again? I don't really want to spend a day on the phone calling all the instructors on the list.

#3 Any idea how long the process takes from start to finish?

    Thanks,
    Mark

What, did you lose a bet?

Your 16 hr training should be still valid but you must get the DC law portion. After that it's pretty easy peasy, fill out their form and submit with the training certs and register one (first one free, after that it's $13/ea) or more handguns that you are going to carry and you're GTG. It's been years since I got mine in 2015 so I can't comment on initial permits but I know that renewals are quick.
