Return the portion of DC that came from Maryland to Maryland and then the residents can be in a state, have Senators and full voting Representatives. I figure that Maryland would get at least two additional representatives and electoral votes. There is no reason to ever let DC become a state and there is precedent to return no longer needed land back to Virginia and Maryland.

There was a deal for DC to get a full voting seat in exchange for an extra seat for UT. The dems turned it down. Iirc UT got the seat anyway after the census.

Making them a state gives them two Senators. That puts the Senate at 102 and bumps the majority up to 52 votes, the filibuster would them move to 62. These DC senators would most likely be Liberal/Demoncrat/Progressives, no thanks.

It would be easier to absorb two additional seats in the House rather than two or more in the House and two more in the Senate.

Maryland has already become a Demoncrat cesspool there is no reason to add an additional Demoncrat cesspool to the country by making DC a state.

Exactly. How about adhering to Article I Section 8 of the COTUS and give them none? These people knew the deal when they moved here. They need to stop whining or move to VA. MD has enough liberal losers in the GA.
