Still doesn't answer the question. I mean is it percentage of Gays vs heterosexuals or do they mean their population is more flaming than other populations. Like say, Log Cabin Republican gay vs say George Takei gay?

I really don’t understand why we’re doing so much for < 10% of the population. 11.3% of the population has diabetes and 36% of the adult population is obese - where are our Diabetic Pride and Obesity Pride months? They can’t help the way they were born…..

Because the political power and influence which this specific population group wields must be placated with such measures and initiatives.

Victims of crime certainly don't have this political power/influence to wield. If they actually did, you'd have more police, criminals locked up and a lower crime rate in the City.

The diabetic and obese populations just don't have the right mix of political factors to matter.
