Delmarva Sporting Clays on Weekends

I'm thinking of making a trip out to Delmarva this weekend. Probably on Sunday afternoon. Was wondering how crowded it is going to be then. I usually go during the week to avoid the crowds. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Also, I might call them on Saturday to see if there are any groups or outings this weekend because that could be a problem too.

I would also check their website to see if they have any shoots scheduled. I normally shoot clays at Pintail Point & sometimes Hopkins and they both are starting to have a lot of shoots for DU and fundraisers. Once it gets warm take some bug spray. Flies can get bad depending on the wind. Have fun.

Had to change days this week due to work. I went to Delmarva on Monday instead of this Friday. Weather was great. Only 3 other guys there shooting. I had a blast shooting. The 3 guys there were blasting full autos. Very cool to watch. They were very nice and offered me to shoot one of the 9mm autos but I declined. I only brought enough for my Ruger PC9 and Berretta CX4 storm. I am trying to decide which one I like better. Still not sure. 250 rounds of 9mm would go in a flash in full auto mode. LOL.

In my experience you may end up waiting for a lane. Like you I usually go down during a weekday in the morning. I have clients in Federalsburg so i usually go to the range then meet with clients or vice versa..

I went there to use the 2 and 300 targets since my local only has 100. The younger range officer was in charge(not sure if he's family or whatnot) and him and 2 other younger guys decided to throw an old cellphone 10 yards away from the line and just started randomly shooting at it while I gave them the stank eye. Top notch.

When was this? I've never seen anything like that while there and sure plenty of ranges have a case of idiots showing up.

I’ve been told before you can shoot anything you want, you just have to clean it up.
