Does anyone have a good local dealer for Tikka rifles before I buy online?

I'm in Carroll, but I'm willing to drive. There's just something about having a real person rep that appeals to me when making these kind of purchases.

another option (albeit online) if you want to dress up a tikka, you can buy their action only (jaoutdoors), then a proof or pva or other prefit and aftermarket stock (mesa, manners).

It seems to me that if you want the best price for something specific, the best bet is online - Gunbroker seems to be about the best for that kind of thing IMO because it consolidates everything into one place. Dealers all over the country have a presence there, so you find what you're looking for, buy it, and if you've set up your profile with a preferred FFL, it automatically gets shipped there.

Call Brian at south carroll sporting goods, ffbwmd above. He has always treated me well and usually has the best prices on ammo. His ordered in gun prices are usually pretty competitive with online when you consider shipping and transfer.

I completely understand wanting to get hands-on with whatever you want to get, but Tikka rifles are pretty nice - if you're pretty sure what you want, IMO Gunbroker is the way to go - the most competitive prices seem to be there.

I'm almost certain it's going to be Tikka. The problem is picking which one. Waiting to see if something else becomes available again or just get what's available now.

If buying on GunBroker, they charge you sales tax & 1% "compliance fee" plus you usually pay shipping and transfer, keep that in mind when buying local.
Often, when buying direct from a reputable shop like Elks Arms and Ammo in PA or try Old Dominium in VA, they'll let you slide on the sales tax.
