I've done that in the past. Dump a bunch of brass on a towel, shake it back and forth, lay it right in front of the wood stove. Watch a show on tv with the kids, every commercial break we shake it back and forth a couple times to redistribute, then flatten them out again. Everything is nice and bone dry, no water marks, very little effort.

I had 2 pellet stoves in my West Chicago house. I really miss them. My townhouse has a ventless gas fireplace which I basically refuse to use. Dumber than dirt appliance.

I use an old air frier

Dry by rolling brass around in an old bath towel then in to an aluminum turkey pan and in to a 200 degree oven for 45 minutes. give the brass a shake every 15 minutes or so.
