Last Thursday I stopped by the Waterloo MSP barracks in Jessup to inquire about transfers. I asked if there was a specific time or day that they did transfers and whether I needed to bring any specific paperwork. I was told to come by anytime, but preferably during daylight hours (for safety reasons) and that they had all the forms needed. The following day I stopped in with my friend to do the transfer. I wish I would have gotten the Sgt's name who was working the desk because he was very courteous and helpful. I had forgotten my checkbook and he even told me where I could get a cashiers check near by. I'd say the entire process took maybe 30 minutes. If you want to do an easy transfer of a regulated weapon, I'd highly recommend going there.

I had also had a great experience with MSP and it was the Glen Burnie Barracks. The buyer (friend of mine) forgot his checkbook, so the CPL said about 1/4 mile down on the right, stop and get a money order.

The thing they were very specific about, you must 1st announce at the front desk you are here for a transfer and when they acknowledge, they will then tell you to retrieve from your vehicle.

    All very smooth.

I did a transfer with 5PointStar at the BelAir MSP barracks and it was quick and totally painless.....I don't think we were there for more than 20 minutes.

Smooth transfer at the Glen Burnie barracks from another member here.
The Sgt. seemed to like guns. He was friendly and efficient.

Good to hear MSP's will do this, even though their CCW law is b/s.

Baltimore County on the other hand...they look at you like you have two heads, a tail and lobsters coming out of your ears when you ask to do transfers at their barracks.

P barrack in Glen Burnie gets lots of action and the troopers are pretty familiar with the routine.

If you're an old goat like me, they let you take your gun in as long as it is cased.

I have done all my transfers and finger print cards for years at Glen Burnie and never had a hickup.

    Good folks.

I have transferred with a black sergeant, white sergeant and white woman sergeant. They were all just as professional and knowledgeable of the process.

Over the years, I have never felt any anti gun attitude from the folks at this barrack.
