Governor to sign bill to equalize firearm laws across the state

State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Butler County, introduced House Bill 80, approved by a 138-56 vote, as a way to further combat the theft of copper and other wiring from Pennsylvania businesses.

"A person adversely affected by an ordinance," the bill said, will be able to sue the political subdivision that prevented them from purchasing a firearm for relief and damages."

Wouldn't it just make more sense to just preempt and WIPE OUT inconsistent laws?

They had a chance to make things right, instead, they made things less wrong.

They DO have preemption. The laws in question are uninforcable, but are used as harrasment to arrest , cause people to put up bail, and hire representation, and then have case dropped just before court.

The new provision will automatically let the victim of harrasment recover their legal fees and reasonable expenses, and allow greater standing to 2A organizations. In a perfect world this shouldn't have been needed, but will now help to rein in these jurisdictions.
