Got a quick question for everyone. My brother just stopped over and wants to buy a pistol I have for sale. Now I know I can do the transfer at a MSP barracks. But one problem . He now lives in PA .
What do I need to do ?

He MUST do the paperwork in PA, at a PA FFL. This is a Federal law.

** If the gun is C&R and he has a C&R license, ATF 03, then he could buy it direct.

BTW, MSP can only do transfer paperwork if the regulated firearm is in MD and it is a secondary sale. They can't do interstate transfers.

Thanks for quick replies. ! This could put a damper on the sale:sad20: He now wants two of them but with the transfer fees he is going to get raped. I don't know any gun dealers near Felton Pa. Or what they charge?

There are two IP's based in PA. All you have to do is drive the handguns there, the FFL logs them in, then your brother does the 4473 and any PA paperwork. Check the IP section and see which is closer and contact them. They may be willing to work out a deal.

    Thunderstick charges $25.

    Sgt Preston here...

IF you have the time & the gas,

You could drive yourself & your gun to his FFL & he could do the transfer there...
