So about 3 years ago, I attended a Sharpshooting clinic hosted by the MD state shooting team at the range in Marriotsville and ever since firing a M1A, I've been dying to get into sharpshooting. Well, I've been researching and researching and finally decided to build my own gun. Trying to get different points of views on what parts to use, I went to Gun Connection right down the street from me. Dan waved a 1985 - 1986 Colt Sportser AR15A2 with a 20 inch HBAR 1:7 twist open sight rifle with a single stage trigger in front of my face. It was everything I wanted, except the trigger for $1000. So I bought it. Immediately I ran home, showed my roommate, (ex-Marine honorably discharged with a purple heart) and asked him, "Wanna go to the range?" With great intentions, we showed up at Continetal Arms in Timonium. I failed to realize that they do not allow high powered rifles at that range. :whack: :stupid:

So now I'm looking for a range where I can shoot. I might go to the one in marriotsville. I also heard there's a range in Westminster. Anyone have any recommendations?

Since this is an introduction post, a little about me:

    27 Years Old
Gubmit Contractor for a Federal Agency (IT work)
    Motorcyclist (Yamaha R1)
    Love Beer and Whiskey

    Volkswagen Enthusist
    Doberman Pinscher Owner
    Weight Lifter
Not Political or Religious, so don't think I'm a terrorist. :party29:
That should be enough for now.

    Thanks,
    Cliff

Just as a clarification, you can buy targets at Hap Baker ($.25 each I think) or bring your own. Range out to 200 yds (25, 50, 100, 200). Line goes cold about every half hour for target replacement. Seperate pistol range. As long as you are safe, the RO's are great and unobtrusive. A bunch of us shoot there. Right now they are open Wed-Sun from 10 to an hour before dark.
