After mulling over the decision literally for years, I finally purchased my first firearm. I "thought" I wanted a 1911 in 9mm. I walked into Gun Connection. Staff was friendly and down to earth. They explained the 1911 9mm is hard to get a hold of these days. They made some calls trying to hunt one down for me. While browsing, they showed me a Sig P226 SCT (a weapon which was on my short list but I had never tried mostly because I thought it would be too expensive). Liked the way it felt, it came with upgraded sights and 4, 20 round magazines. Done Deal. Can't wait to go pick it up and punch some paper.

Now I not only have my first gun, but I fear I may have caught the Signess....

I think you were in there today when I was. I was wearing the black GC shirt. I picked up a 9mm AR lower

I don't doubt it, I must have been there for the better part of an hour trying to decide. I was wearing a red and black nautica hat.

The guy I was working with took the time to show me how much my grip and stance sucked and showed me some pointers. Well worth the trek down there!

I think Sig has slide barrel combos to swap as well. If I had experienced one of those before my CZ 75 clone from the 80s my collection and handgun preferences may be different.
