A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted

Agreed the big guys need to join. They also should not sell directly to LEO (individuals of agencies). That would defeat the purpose of standing up for 2A rights. Sell whatever the states says its citizens can have - no exceptions, that defeats the purpose. We are all in this together.

Like to see Stag do the same, but in all fairness they do have a rather good program for factory SBR's to LEO's - I'm sure that'd cut into their profits a good bit.

The more mainstream guys are locked into contracts and Boardmembers/share-holders, so they don't get to make the decision w/out having a bit of a debate first. Not defending them if they can't do what I'd like, but I can understand if they legally couldn't.

what really needs to happen is for the ammunition manufacturers to stop their sales. even large law enforcement agencies can skirt sales restrictions by having people buy their own guns. Especially since they may replace guns every 8 to 10 years. Ammunition is a whole other matter, and is bought much more often and in greater quantity.

Well, how about gun owners start calling Glock, S&W, Ruger, etc. and give them earfull about joining the fight on behalf of the 2A rights, and to put their money where their mouth is. I just left a message on S&Ws corporate offices asking he, to joint the ban on sales to NY LEOs and MD as well.

    Not a bad idea...

I'll be calling a few companies.

    Somewhere in MD
Beretta has already told Maryland that they will move from the state if they pass any of the current legislative bills.

Source for this? I recall their rep stating that they would have to evaluate their options during the hearing on 6Feb , but nothing as concrete as "we will leave".

Not quite. If they bought them on their own, they would be subject to the same limitations as a common citizen. That is the point. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
