Wow, that's a neat rig.

Sidebar: how badly does your accuracy suffer when your Mosin gets hot?I shoot literally 1000s of corrosive rounds out of my mosins every year. I always clean it within a week and never have any sign of corrosion in that time. I always finish up cleaning with a wad soaked in clp just to leave a coat of oil in the bore.
Honestly, I haven't noticed a huge loss of accuracy when it gets hot. Have you had that issue?Sidebar: how badly does your accuracy suffer when your Mosin gets hot?
For me it’s the shoulder and not the heat. I can’t shoot more than 50 rounds in a Nagant without a black and blue shoulder.Sidebar: how badly does your accuracy suffer when your Mosin gets hot?
I'm fine with the regular 150gr. The 180gr yugo definitely hurts my shoulder. For me it’s the shoulder and not the heat. I can’t shoot more than 50 rounds in a Nagant without a black and blue shoulder.
I haven't fired it that continuously. It's just something I've read online and I was curious if you had experienced it.Honestly, I haven't noticed a huge loss of accuracy when it gets hot. Have you had that issue?
I picked up a Caldwell "PAST" recoil pad for use while shooting my M-44 and it has saved my shoulder. No marks after 50 rounds on the last trip. Looks goofy, but it works! For me it’s the shoulder and not the heat. I can’t shoot more than 50 rounds in a Nagant without a black and blue shoulder.
Not with a mosin. With my romanian psl chambered in 7.62x54 I notice it after 10 rounds.I haven't fired it that continuously. It's just something I've read online and I was curious if you had experienced it.
