Just got back from a great trip visiting friends. Went to Ok Corral for sporting clays. Then dove hunt that evening, never did that before. It was a lot of fun. Picture is of my first one. Couple days later went hog hunting. Never hunted with this guide and he squeezed us in after the first guide backed out due to family stuff. Got 7 piggys in an hour and a half. Rode around in a swamp buggy on a 300 acre farm. Couldn't see more than 50 yards for the scrub and palmettos. We would bump into the clumps of growth and the pigs would run out like roaches when you turn the lights on. What fun. Shooting .223 hollow points. Got a water moccasin as a bonus. Quartered and backstraps brought home and in the freezer.

Looks like you had a great trip! Which outfitter did you use for the hog hunt?
I'm planning a similar trip in January hoping to hog hunt an do some fishing.

The links above the pics are the spots I used. Ok Coral for sporting clays, Kissammee river for the dove hunt and would have been the original pig guide. And Triple m for the hog hunt. Prices are on their web sites. We stayed at Capt Hirams in Sebastian. Great county owned range near Sebastian to check your zero before you hunt.

Were those bullets recovered from your hog?
They look like they performed really well.
    Congratulations on a nice hunt.

The bullets were recovered from the hogs. Peeled real nice. I bleached it myself. Am not done yet, have to rebuild and mount on a plaque. The skull is from a 200 pounder, largest one shot. Rest were 150 +/-

Why didn't you stay with Dwayne? He usually puts people up on good hogs, has access to good land.

Ran across him a couple of times when we used to guide for gators n hogs.

Just checked out his website, LOL cattle hunts, that was one of my ideas after a particular rough round up on my neighbor's ranch.

After the initial boil and meat scraping. I boil again in 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water, with a little laundry soap. Gets'em nice and white.
    Good luck

So how do we get the skull nice and white but not the antlers? I ask because the top most between the antlers is stained
