I have a new FNAR 308 and when I push the mag into receiver it does not engage. I have to push in and pull bolt back and chamber round for mag to lock in place. Do I need a gunsmith or could this be a simple fix?

Have you tried to seat a mag with one or two less rounds loaded? Or with the bolt open?

With a full mag and closed bolt, it may take a VERY healthy smack to seat the mag.
